A Letter from the Founder
Foxxy Brides was founded in the desert light of Windhoek, on the simple belief that a wedding gown is not a garment but a record — of touch, of patience, of the person stepping into it.
Our studio is small by design. We take on a limited number of brides each season so that every consultation, every fitting, every hand-stitch happens in unhurried time. We work in silk crepe, in mikado, in chantilly lace; we draw motifs from indigenous flora; we tailor to your body, not to a sample.
Tradition runs through our hands — techniques passed down through generations of Namibian tailors — and we refine those techniques for brides who want something past the expected.
The Process
Four MovementsConsultation
An unhurried conversation over tea. We speak of inheritance, of light, of how you want the day to feel.
Sketch & Toile
Hand-drawn studies become a calico toile, fitted to your body before a single thread of silk is cut.
Atelier
Construction begins. Lace is appliquéd by hand, beads laid grain by grain, seams pressed quiet.
Final Fitting
The last alterations are made standing still. The gown is yours, complete, and only yours.
