Traditional & Cultural Dresses in
Nairobi
Clients in Nairobi commission from our Windhoek atelier the same way clients across the road do: a video consultation, a measured brief, a posted toile and photographed fit checks. Nothing about the garment is compromised by the distance — only the fitting-room chair is missing.
Buying ready-to-wear from Nairobi
Ready-made cultural dressing for traditional ceremonies, lobola and umembeso, and the traditional half of a two-part wedding day — cut in imported wax print, aso-oke and hand-selected trim.
Print placement is fixed, so we adjust in the seams rather than recutting. One appointment is usually enough.
For Nairobi we favour cotton organza, open-back construction and lined-but-vented bodices for altitude sun and warm evenings.
What's included
- Try-on appointment
- Seam adjustment with print alignment kept true
- Head-wrap or accessory pairing
- Press and garment bag
Sized, adjusted, sent
Measurements are taken locally in Nairobi to our written brief, or by a tailor we brief directly. The toile is couriered to you, photographed on your body and adjusted before the final fabric is cut. The finished garment ships insured, door-to-door, in a garment box with a steaming and dressing guide.
