A corset bodice should hold you up so you don't have to. That means a boned internal structure taking the weight of the skirt, not a decorative laced back stitched onto a soft lining.

We build a separate inner corselet, fit it to your ribcage across two fittings, then mount the outer bodice on top. The lacing is functional — it gives us three centimetres of adjustment in either direction between the final fitting and the wedding morning.

A corset fitted at your smallest measurement will be unwearable by the speeches. We fit it to be worn all day.

Hermanus brides work with us remotely and comfortably: a video consultation to begin, a measurement appointment with a local seamstress we brief directly, a toile posted to you for a photographed fit check, then two refinement rounds before the finished gown is couriered to Hermanus with a steaming and dressing guide.
