We weight hems to stay clean off the ground, keep trains detachable or bustled properly, and finish the interior so the gown can be worn for ten hours without a single adjustment. Fittings are handled remotely with a posted toile, or in person if you're already travelling to Windhoek.

Test it by raising both arms at the fitting. If the neckline moves, the bodice is wrong, not the sleeve.
